The following knitting abbreviations are commonly used and often seen in patterns. There are many more abbreviations in the knitting world but I will only list the most common ones here.

rev St st
double point needle
pass slip stitch(es) over
reverse stockinette stitch
through back of loop(s)
with yarn in back
with yarn in front
yarn to back of work
yarn round needle, wrap yarn once around needle
Bring working yarn from back to front of work
Bring yarn at front and around needle
repeat direction as indicate between the two*
repeat direction in side bracket as many times as indicated
