Yarn over at the beginning of a row


Question

I am knitting in the round and the pattern specifies *yo,sl1,k2tog,psso,yo,p2. Is there an unstated k1 after the initial yo? I can't figure out how to make a yo followed directly by a sl1 work. Thanks.

Yarn over at the beginning of a row

Hi,

There are some patterns starting out with YOs like this one. You can do this by bringing yarn into the front of work after you slip the marker at the end of the round, then sl 1, k2tog and passo as usual. It's going to feel a little bit awkward but you'll get use to it.

Here is an example of how to do the Yo, sl1, k2tog, psso. It a little bit fast but it might help.
