yarn forward instructions in a pattern

If my pattern says

yf, k2

do I do yf and then a knit stitch, and another yarn forward and a knit stitch?

or do I do yarn forward and then a knit stitch, and the then just a normal knit stitch (no yarn forward)

I cannot tell from the pattern. Thanks

yf k2

Hi,

"yf, k2" is to do yf and then knit the next 2 stitches normally (k1, k1). You don't need to do another yf between the knit stitches.

Thank you for visiting and question!
