What does this instruction mean?

Hi

I'm trying to finish a blanket. I can't remember how I did this at the beginning when I first started!

I have 174 stitches which have to be increased to 188. This is the instruction. I keep going wrong as not understanding what I'm doing. I end up with either too many or not enough stitches. Please help, ready to throw it all away! Thank you

p8, k7, (inc in next st, k10) 13 times inc in next st, k7, p8. 188 Sts.

Here is how to keep it less confusing. You'll need a lot of st markers though.

First, p8, k7 then place a marker (PM), *inc in the next st, k10, PM**, Repeat from * to ** 12 more times. Then for the last 16 sts, you inc in next st, k7, p8.

Now you can see each 12 st-repeat section clearly and if you make a mistake you can find it by counting them.

Thanks for the question, Simone.
Hope this helps and good luck!
