I don’t know what the 1st indicates and I can’t find it anywhere in my knitting book and haven’t been able to find it on line.
Explanation would be very much appreciated!

Casting on baby kimono

Hi Patty,

It's 1 stitch, not 1st (first).

This whole row is about casting on and place makers.

So, you cast on 4 stitches, then place marker, then cast on 1 stitch, then place marker, cast on 6 stitches, place marker, and cast on 1 stitch, place marker.

Thank you for sending your question and visiting. Have a wonderful night!

Ratcha
