Sock patterns versus regular patterns
by: Ratchadawan

Hi Arlene,

Are you talking about picture patterns and fair isle patterns? Sure you could use any pattern you want as long as it stay within your range (number of sts on each row). The pattern may look slightly different if the gauge is different.

When I use lace pattern on my sock, I'd make sure I have certain number of sts required for each pattern. For example, if I have to make a sock that requires 60 sts, I would try to find a lace pattern that would match that numbers of stitches. eg. a set of 5, 6, 10 and 12 sts would work perfectly for the sock.

I'm not sure if this helping you at all. Hopefully it does.

Thank so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Ratcha
