Same size needles!!!

Hi my pattern is size 51/5 and 6/12 m needles for rib and main respectively, but pattern say for sleeves, just use 51/5 m . Is this correct? Surely the main sleeve should be knitted on same size needle as main body.

Hi Marge,

That's interesting! It could be a typo. I haven't seen an instruction telling to knit body and sleeve body with different size needles.

I think the only way to know for sure is to look at the width of the sleeve and calculate to see which needle is best fit.

Check how many stitches it take for each size of the needles to get to the width required. Then compare it to your pattern.

I hope this makes sense.
