Ribbing on a Vneck

by J-9
(Cape Cod, MA)

Having a hard time putting the ribbing on a v-neck raglan sleeve sweater. There are 3 sets of stitches on holders with balls of yarn attached (Sleeves and back) Do I start a new ball of yarn to add the stitches around the neck or use an existing one? Was I suppose to cut the balls of yarn off and just leave a long tail when I put them on the holders? Help I have pulled this thing out twice trying to do this and just want to finish it. Thanks for any help.

Hi J-9,

I would cut all of the yarns except the one that you'll be working on. Leave just enough yarn to weave behind. I assume you are picking up sts from left shoulder and make you way around the front and back. In this case you can use the yarn from the left shoulder to pickup the first round and then do ribbing on the second round.

Thank you for the question. You have a great evening!
