Rib jumper: divide for front opening

Hi,

Would be grateful for some advice on the next rows explanation in the pattern. I have uploaded the section I’m struggling with.
Next row: Rib 7 sts, turn.
Next row: Cast on 5 sts, (underlay), k4, p1, (k2. p1) 2 times...
My question: after casting on 5, do you turn again to knit the rest of the row?

Hi,

When you're done with rib 7sts, You turn, you cast on 5 sts on the left needle. Now you have 12 sts. Don't turn at this point. you're still on the same row. Go ahead and k4, p1,(k2,p1) 2 times, k1.

Now you can turn and move on to the next row but keep working only on this 12 sts.
