I have to cast on 87 stitches for this sweater then do row 1 instructions below Starting with knitting 2 stitches then k1 p1 until last K1 but the last stitch lands on a purl stitch not a knit - is there an error in the pattern - I’m new to knitting- thank you
BEG RIB
1st row (RS) – K2, * P1, K1, rep from * to last
st, K1.

Instructions don’t make sense with end stitch K1

Hello Bernadette,

You wrote "Starting with knitting 2 stitches then k1 p1 until last K1 but the last stitch lands on a purl stitch not a knit" but the instruction actually starts with k2, *p1, k1, rep from * to last st, k1. So, I think the problem here may have been because you started out with k2, k1, p1, instead of k2, p1, k1. This is why you ended up with p1 not k1 at the end of the row. It looks like the pattern will always have k2 at the beginning and ends with k2.

Thanks so much for sharing your question and visiting.
Hope this solves the problem. Have a great day!

Ratcha
