I don’t understand the directions

by Anne
(NC)

In the directions below I do not understand what the instructions in the parenthesis means.

K6 *yo, ssk, k4, yo, k3tog, yo, k5 repeat from * to last 2 stitches (end the last repeat with a k1), k2

Are they saying that when I get to the end of the row instead of k2 I k1?

end the last repeat with k1, k2.

Hi Anne,

Thanks for the question.

"K6 *yo, ssk, k4, yo, k3tog, yo, k5 repeat from * to last 2 stitches (end the last repeat with a k1), k2

It means that the last repeat won't have enough stitch left to complete all of the instruction written in *-*. Instead of doing k3tog yo, k5, you'll end up doing k3tog, yo, k1. instead. That's how I understand it.

So, keep repeating the work and end with (yo, ssk, k4, yo, k3tog, yo, k1) and then knit the last 2 sts.

I hope this helps. Thanks for visiting and questioning.
Happy needling!

Ratcha
