The pattern says cast on 3 stitches, then S11,
How do i do that please?

That's is not s 11. It's actually slip 1. This means slipping a stitch onto a needle purlwise (a tip of the right needle enter a stitch from right to left).

So you slip the first stitch on to the right needle without having to knit or purl and then proceed on.
