How do I knit most of the row, turn then cast off remaining stitches

by Christine
(Cheshire, England)

Hi

My UKHKA 12 knitting pattern states

“Next Row: K21, turn, place a coloured marker, cast off rem 8 sts”

I just can’t find out how to do this. Any help will be gratefully received.

Regards

Christine

UKHKA 12 knitting pattern
by: Ratchadawan

Hello Christine,

The instruction states;

"Next Row: K21, turn, place a coloured marker, cast off rem 8 sts"

If I to work this instruction, I would knit 21 sts. Then turn my work and get ready to work back to where I just start. Mark this area after the 21st stitch with a marker. Then I will cast off 8 sts. The problem I have here is that the 8 sts are not the remaining sts. There should be another 13 sts after that. So, I'm a little confused. I'm wondering what the instruction are like before and after this row. Is it possible that you can show it to me?

I search for a pattern but it a paid one so I can't see it. You may want to send them a message. Maybe someone will answer it. Here is the link; https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ukhka-12

I am still happy to look at the pattern and help out.
Thanks you for visiting and questioning.

Ratcha
