How do I keep to lace pattern when I decreased a stitch each end

I have to decrease 1 stitch at start of each row 16th row. How do I keep to pattern when the pattern says k1 yo s1 k2 tog psso. I have decreased 1 so do not have the k1 anymore

Hi Paula,

Thank you for the question.
Yes, you have to eliminate the beginning and the end stitches. It also depends on the layout too. For your instruction, you have k1, yo, at the beginning. I would eliminate the YO instead of the k1 because the yarn over would make it holy.

So, I would do k1, sl1, k2, PSSO and so on.
