How do I find out what stitches were used to make this hat?

I’m having problems figuring out what stitches were used to make this hat. My grandma made this hat years ago and I would really love to make another one but I need help in figuring out what stitches/pattern she would have used. Would really like some help in finding out.

what type of stitch is this

Hi Holly,

It's some kind of rib lace pattern, I think. I'm not sure what it is exactly.
It could be this seeded rib stitch. Try searching for rib stitch pattern and see what is the closest thing you find.

I'll keep my eye out for this and let you know when I find the pattern.

I finished this hat awhile ago but didn’t get a chance to post it. It is my experimental piece. The Pom Pom can be remove when you want to put up a pony tail. Thanks to my models who can tolerates such condition. :)
