explain front and back stitches that are not to in crease the number of stitches

by Susan Zucconi

The pattern for a baby cardigan says knit across(21 sts for front, 39 sts for back, 21 sts for front) what does that meant? Do I turn the work over? I know it’s not asking for the front/ back increase stitch. Thanks for your help!

Hello Susan,

It basically means to knit all of the stitches from right front, back and left front (assuming this is a right side of fabric). You don't need to turn your work.

Thanks for sending in your question.
Enjoy your day!
