Ends curl in

When I knit St st the ends curl in so it looks like a tube. What do I do to correct that.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

Hi Dottie,

It's a nature of St St to curl. You just can't make it lay straight. This is why having some kind of border is helpful. It can be garter st or seed st or lace. Many knitters have asked me this same question before. Here are the links to my previous discussion about curled edges;
