Decreasing 10 stitches on either side of row

by Mary
(St Francis Bay South Africa)

Hi I have to decrease 10 stitches at the beginning & end of the same row. With the right side facing I have both plain & purl stitches facing me. When I get to the end of the row, what must I do? Every you tube I have looked at show me with garter stitch cast off. Your help in this regard, possibly a youtube would make it easier to understand. Thank you for your help in this regard. I look forward to hearing from you.

Decrease 10 stitches at both sides

Hi Mary,

I have posted a response to your previous question at; https://www.to-knit-knitting-stitches.com/decreasing-10-stitches-on-both-sides-of-my-work.html regarding binding of on both ends.

If you bind off 10 sts at the end of a row then your will have to cut yarn and then join the yarn back on the next row. This is not a preferable way. I would suggest you undo the last bind off sts. and knit them to the end of a row instead. Then on your next row you can bind off 10 sts at the beginning of a row.

What is the instruction for the next few rows? Maybe this will give me a better idea of what it's going to be like.

Have a beautiful day!

Ratcha
