Cotton Candy Ruffle Skirt

by Patti K Koch
(Kingman, AZ)

I made this skirt for my toddler great granddaughter and I used on strand of white and one of pink Bernat Baby Sport. The labels were off so it may have been Pound Of Love Baby yarn.

I made some changes because I wanted a less balky waist so I did a knit 2 purl 2 6 rows and ran 1/8th inch elastic through the waist band. I am going to try to upload a picture. I am in the process of making a Poncho to match it.

One more thing about the skirt I started with fewer stitches but when I got to the ruffles I increased evenly around the skirt by knitting in the yo (yf) to come to the required 291 stitches.
I can hardly wait to get pictures of my little doll in the completed outfit. Her birthday is Nov. 6th and this will be part of her present.

Hi Patti,

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm so trilled and can't wait to see your little doll in her lovely outfit either. I'm so glad you choose to knit the scallop skirt for your granddaughter's birthday. I'll be waiting for the picture!

Thanks again,

Ratcha.
