Attaching a separately made hood to sweater

I have completed a hood that was done separately. Instructions are sew castoff edge between markers. When I do that it appears to me that the pointed hood would be at the front rather then
the back as illustrated. Can you help? Thank you.

Make sure you have right sides of the neck and the collar facing each other before attaching. It sounded like the hood needs to be flipped around. You almost there, just keep trying.
