Armhole cap sleeve increase confusion

by Catherine
(Middle River, MN)

Hi, I'm Catherine.
My tank pattern with kind of cap sleeves says to do an increase row (RS) and then 3 st st rows. So far so good. 4 rows done
It then says "Repeat inc row every 4th row 9 more times, then on 6th row once." So I assume this is inc on rows 5, 9, 13 etc., until the 9th repeat is inc on row 63, then st st on 64-66. groups of 4 = RS WS RS WS Then an inc row on 67 and st st for 5 more rows? Right so far? each group of 4 or 5 starts on a RS inc row and ends with a WS row
Then it says "Work 3 more rows in st st, ending with WS row." But 3 rows here would be RS WS RS i.e., ending with a RS row.
And the following row starting shoulder shaping starts with a RS row again [making two RS rows one after the other.
Am I reading this right? I read through 11 pages of Revelry comments and no one said anything about this! Thanks for your help!

Yes, your every 4th row increase would be 5, 9, 13, ect. until you you complete the last 4th row increase row 41. (your total increase is 10 times total) Then increase on the 6th row once, which is on row 47.

Now you should be on the wrong side of work. Then if you work 3 rows of st st, you should be ending with the wrong side rows and ready to begin the next row with the right side.

I hope this helps!
Thanks for your question.

Ratcha
