6 x 6 rib

This is a typical problem when knitting rib. The beginning of the knit stitch always gets looser than the rest and looks uneven. There many solutions to this problem, but the easiest one is to knit it tighter, especially on the first knit stitch.

I always pull my stitches a little tighter than usual when knitting rib and this seems to help.

Here is a good blog with good solutions to loose stitches you can check it out http://techknitting.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

I hope this helps.
