yb k2

I am working on a baby blanket that forms seamless blocks. Each block (of 12) is a different pattern. Block six calls to *yb k2, yf sl2* I'm confused about the yb k2. Can you help?

I'm not sure why either. I think it just to remind the knitter not to forget to put the yarn at the back after doing yf and sl 2.

but why would it say yb k2 when the yarn is ALWAYS in back when you knit. Why wouldn't it just say k2 (instead of yb k2)??????

*yb K2, yf sl2* = yarn at back of work, k2, yarn in front of work, slip 2.
Then repeat this over and over until end of row.

Thank you for sending in your question. Have a wonderful evening!
