Working on circular needles

by Diane
(USA)

I am working on round needles from a four needle pattern and knitting a hat for a pet. I have done okay until now when I have to connect to the circle to make the tail of the hat. I am using the shortest cable with #6 needles but I can’t connect the circle as it is too, tight a reach. Would it help to use a longer cable? Thank you for any help.

Yes, you can manage with a very long cable needles but it will be more difficult when it gets narrow. I think it will be easier to work on double pointed needles though.

Best to your hat project!
