when repeating stitches and it doesn't come out even

K4, * K1, YO, K1,P34xs,K1, YO; rep from *to the last 4 stitches, K4.
My question is after my last repeat I have 12 stitches left, do I just do half of the repeat pattern?

When repeating stitches don't come out even
by: Ratchadawan

Hi Lynda,

It has to come out even. If you don't have 4 sts leftover after the repeats then there is a mistake somewhere in there.
I would rip this row apart and recount stitches on the previous row to make sure there are the right number of stitches to begin with.

Make sure to do [k1,p3] 4 times altogether in a set, not 5. It's also helpful to place a marker between each set of the repeating pattern.

I hope you find a solution and will work this out. Thanks for visiting.
