What is yarn forward?

Yarn forward (yf) is when you bring the working yarn from the back of your work into the front of your work without having to knit or purl. All you have to do is bring the yarn forward to the front just like its name. Sometimes, we also use the term "yarn over" or "yo" to refer to yarn forward.
