Understanding the pattern

by Lisa
(Bristol, UK)

Please can you explain what this pattern is telling me to do:
*On foll 4th rows, cast off 1 st twice, on foll 6th row, cast off 2 st once*, repeat from * to * 12 more times. On foll 4th rows, cast off 1 st twice.

Am I casting off 2 stitches every 4th row & 1 stitch every 6th row?

understand pattern for casting off at certain following rows
by: Ratchadawan

Hi Lisa,

This means to *cast off 1 st on every following 4th row 2 times,
then cast of 2 sts on the following 6th row one time,** Then you repeat from * to ** 12 more times
Then you cast off 1 st, on the following 4th row 2 times.

So, this is how the whole thing will look like if you write down the whole process.

Set you counter to 0
Work even on foll row 1,2,3 CO 1 st on foll row 4 (set your counter from 1-4)
Work even on foll row 1,2,3, CO 1 st on foll row 4 (set your counter from 1-4)
Work even on foll row 1,2,3,4,5, CO 2 st on foll row6 (set your counter from 1-6)

Do those 3 sets again for 12 more times.

Then work even on foll row 1,2,3, CO 1 st on foll row 4
Work even on foll Row 1,2,3, CO 1 st on foll row 4

I hope this doesn't confused you even more. Thank you for the question and visit.

Ratcha
