the strings on the edge of added color rows at end of project

Question

I am finishing a blanket that has multiple rows of color added and I'm not sure what to do with the little strings on the edge of each row they are too short to weave in but im afraid to just cut them off and it come apart at the joint seam. What do I do?

Answer

Don't cut them off. I would tide those little ends together to secure. Then I would use a crochet hook to pull those little ends thought stitches at the the back of work.

In the mean time I'm trying to think of another way to fix this if the suggestion above doesn't work out. Send me a picture if you can.

Thank you for the question,

Ratcha

do you crochet ?
by: Jane Poole

after tying the short ends, if you crochet, do a row of single crochet right round the edge. gives a lovely finish and the ends can be swallowed up as you work. Have a look on youtube, you can quickly pick it up (I'm a self taught crocheter).
