Shape neck on cardigan

I am just finishing left side of a cardigan, the final row is to cast off in pattern. Leave 21 stitches on a thread. My question is which edge should the 21 stitches be on - the sleeve edge or the neck edge?

Hi Philippa,

The 21 sts are parts of a left front shoulder and will be joined with the the back shoulder. So, it should be at the sleeve edge.
