Reading a UK pattern

by Cyndy
(Virginia, USA)

In the pattern Carolina, a lacy leaf bolero by Pat Menchini. It says
Row 1 Patt 45, work row 1 of Panel, patt 45. It's a UK pattern. What does this mean? There isn't a "pattern 45" in the design.

Reading UK pattern

Hi Cyndy,

I wonder why I didn't see your question earlier. Sorry that you had to wait for a few days.

The pattern means to continue working as established pattern for 45 sts, then work row 1 of the panel, then worked established pattern 45 sts.

Or the other words, you insert the panel right in the center between 45 sts on the left and 45 sts on the right.

Thanks for the question and the visit,

Ratcha
