Voliere yarns from Knit Picks

pattern repeat

Hello,

My pattern says K2, yo, K1 (ask) 3 times, (yo, k1) 5 times, yo, (k2tog) 3 times

And it goes on.

My question is, does 3 times mean 3 times in a row?

Thank you!!

Hello Paula,

Yes, it means 3 times in a row.

Your pattern says "K2, yo, K1 (ask) 3 times, (yo, k1) 5 times, yo, (k2tog) 3 times"

The "k2, yo, k1 3 times" means to do k2, yo, k1,k1,k1.

Whenever you see a pattern like this; (k2tog) 3 times or (yo,k1) 5 times It means to work what is inside the parenthesis the amount of give times.

The(k2tog)3 times would be k2tog,k2tog,k2tog and
(yo,k1) 5 times would be yo,k1,yo,k1,yo,k1,yo,k1,yo,k1.

Thanks for the question and visit. Have fun needleing.
