My pattern i have started for a hat says use us size 4 or us 5 so what is that in my size

Hi Doreen,

I don't know what you use in Scotland but the best way to determine the right needle size is to measure the gauge. Do you have a needle gauge? It's so handy to have one.

For size 4 US needle is 3.5 mm and size US #5 is 3.75mm.
