Need pattern explanation

The pattern says to work rounds 2-4 of pattern. It is for a garter ridge pattern using circular needles. Does this mean work either 2 or 4 rounds whichever I prefer?

Thanks for sending in your question.

"to work rounds 2-4 of pattern" means to work from round 2, 3 and 4. of the pattern. It doesn't mean to pick any round you like.
