My cat ran away with my knitting. I have 56 dropped stitches in various rows!

I love my cats!!! But not today!!! I am finishing a baby sweater for my precious grand son. I looked away for a moment, and he took off with my knitting pulling the 56 stitches off the needle and dropping stitches like mad. I cannot make it look right. I was 98% done with the sleeve. The stitches dropped down about 7 rows haphazardly. I am sooo sad. Can you help me??

I saw you posted this question yesterday and my heart is going out for you. This would make me mad too! I'm so sorry Lynn. I wish I could be there with you and we can look at this mess together. I don't know if this could be save any more. This sounds worse than what you've told me yesterday. I'm afraid this work has to be ripped apart to where it can be saved.

I think the best thing to do is look for a row that haven't been ripped out and try to pick up all those stitches with a circular needle first and then pulling away those ravel rows above it. Get rid of damage yarn and start with the good one.

I'm feeling it for you. So so sorry.
Best to you and Happy Valentine's Day!

Ratcha
