increase ribbing for sleeve

increase ribbing for sleeve

I am working on sweater sleeves, and the pattern is k-tbl, p3 to last st, which is k-tbl for the first row. The pattern then says k-tbl, M1 in pattern, work sleeve rib pattern to last st, M1 in pattern. Rep increase rnd every 8 rounds, 11 times more. Note: Work first set of increases as M1 knit increases, work following 3 sets of increases as M1 purl.

I understand how to M1 in knit and purl, but I can't figure out how to keep the ribbing pattern going after each increase row.

Increase in Ribbing (sleeve increasing)
by: Ratchadawan

Hi Marcia,

I'm a little bit confused after reading the pattern. I tried make up a chart for 3x3 ribbing with ktbl at each end. I hope it makes sense. The increases happen every 8th row. The chart is not yet completed. It needs more increases. I only want to show you the layout of the pattern. Hopefully, this will help.

If you had trouble seeing the chart above, you can go to see it in google doc at; chart

B = ktbl
Blank space = Knit
dot = purl
M = M1

Thanks for your question and visiting.
Ratcha
