Pebble Hat Pattern

This is from a pattern called “Pebble Hat” by Affiknity Designs. I am stumped and need to see it visually so hoping someone knows of a video explaining/demonstrating it…. ?

Here is the text for the instruction: “Insert RH needle under the strand between the first stitch and the second stitch on LH needle. Draw a loop and knit 1. Slip LH needle purlwise; rep from * till end of round”

I just realized that the pdf of the pattern has a link on the last page to a video of the stitch!! If you’re interested I can email it to you. We were both incorrect in our interpretation of the pattern!

The pebbles on the hat look skinnier than those I made. Maybe she didn't knit into a loop. You could try that too. It was interesting trying to figure this out.

Thank you Ratcha! First of all your English is wonderful! 😘 secondly, thank you for the video! I thought I figured it out but I think I was doing what you first did too and got the slanted stitches. So now I’ll do a swatch with the correct method! 😏👍

*I also found out that there is a typo - not terrible - but it threw me off at first. "Slip LH needle" should state "Slip next stitch on LH needle off purlwise"

Hi Lisa,

I haven't found any video on knitting the Pebble Stitch in rounds either. The pattern is not totally clear to me but I tried making pebbles out of it.

Here is a video I made for you. It's unedited version. I'm not a much of a speaker and English is my second language. So, please pardon my English.




This is the way I would do this stitch. So, I hope it helps. Does it look like the pattern shows in the hat?
