K2tog one stitch from left front and one stitch from right front

by Janine

Hi I am making a baby romper and have come to the crotch area and the pattern states to slip 7 stitches on to cable needle from left front (which I have done). Then k2tog 7 x one stitch from left front and one stitch from right front. I’m not sure how to do this and which needle to use?

This doesn’t make sense to me. Why would you knit together the left front and right. It sounds to me like you would knit each stitch from the holder (left front) with each stitch from the right front. So you have to fold the picce in half so that the holder and the working needle are parallel. Then you use the empty needle to knit 2tog from the holder and needle. Keep doing that for 7 times.

That how I see it.

Thanks for sharing your question.
