Increase Kintting: How to knit 1 purl 1 in the same stitch

It has been a while since I've knit this pattern but can't remember how to knit 1 purl 1 in same stitch. Can you explain? Thanks

Answer

Hi knitter,

This is the way I would do it. Knit a stitch but don't slip it off the left needle. Bring yarn to the front and purl the same stitch again. Then slip the working stitches off the needle.

I usually prefer to knit in front and back of a stitch when increasing. I find it a little more convenience without having to move yarn forward. But either way will work find. You decide what you want.

Here is a video I made for you on how to knit 1, purl 1 in the same stitch and how to knit in front and back of stitch.

Sorry about the sunlight. Hope you can see it. Next time I will use bigger needles and yarn.

Good luck with your project and thanks for stopping by.
