I understand the abbreviations but I don't understand the instructions...

Hello, I am stuck with this instruction could you please help me?

" shaping sides by inc 1 st at each end of next and every foll 6th row to 27 sts, then on every foll 8th row until there are 39 sts"

Does it mean that I have to increase by 1 stitch at the end of every 6th row until I have 27 stitches?
and then that I have to increase by one stitch at the end of every 8th row until I have 39sts?

I am lost....LOL

Hello Mathias,

I think you're on the right track! On the next row, increase 1 st at each end and then inc on every 6th row until you have 27 sts. Then inc on each end every 8th row until you have 39 sts.

I finished this hat awhile ago but didn’t get a chance to post it. It is my experimental piece. The Pom Pom can be remove when you want to put up a pony tail. Thanks to my models who can tolerates such condition. :)
