Voliere yarns from Knit Picks

I accidentally picks up stitches

Question

I accidentally picked up five stiches in my pattern. Should be 72 and I have 77. How should I decrease them back to 72 without it looking funny?

Answer

You can try k2tog (if you're doing knit row) or p2tog (if you're doing p row) every 14 sts or so. If you don't like the look of it, you can take apart a few rows and decrease 2 sts each time you knit a row for 2 rows, then decrease 1 more on the third row.

I hope you don't have to take it apart though. It'll be a lot of work.

Thanks for the question.
