How to start this project

Hello
How would I do the following to start a new project I’m eager to start ?


Cast on 3 sts, knit 8 rows, pick up 7 sts from one side of rows, and 3 sts from bottom. (13 sts)

Hello Faye,

Thanks for the question and visit.

First, you cast on 3 sts. Then knit 8 rows.
Now pick up 7 sts and knit along the edge of the left side starting from a stitch from row 7 that is next to your last st on row 8. Pick up 7 sts down all the way to the cast-on row and then pick up and knit the 3 sts too.

I hope you can understand this explanation. If this still not working out for you then let me know. I will try to make a video for you when I get a chance.
