How to MARK a row with a coloured thread in knitting pattern

Hi I'm a beginner at knitting.I'm knitting a Bertie Bassett and stuck on the body r19. The pattern says r19: knit ( mark this row with a colored thread ). I don't understand how you do this. Could anyone explain how to do this in a way that's easy for me to understand. Thank You.

Hi,

How fun! You can cut a piece of yarn and tide it at the beginning of a row. This is to help identify the area where you have to sew or whatever the pattern requires. That's all you have to do.

Thank you for sending in your question. Happy knitting!

Ratcha
