How To Make The First Slip Stitch Look Nice And Neat

Question:

How to slip the first stitch of a row and keep them looking neat every time I do this they come out to loose and messy looking.

Answer:

I usually slip my first stitch purlwise on every row. That's about it. The stitches seemed to turn out fine for me. I searched around the web and see how other people do it and I found this video to be quite interesting. I think you might like it.

In this video, the slip stitch is done with purlwise technique with yarn in front of work on every row and the last stitch of every row is knitted.
