My question: I have been working on a baby planket, using US 5 DB needles which I would like to transfer to 16 inch US 5 circular needles - How many US5 stitches can I work on US 5 circular needles (16 inch US 5 circular)? I presently have 200 stitches divided on 4 DB needles - US 5 size. I hope you can help me.

Hi Bennie Page,

That's a good question! I never knew how many stitches a number 5 US- 16 inch needle could hold until now.

I tried casting on using size 5, 16 inch needle and I stopped at 250 sts. I probably could add 20 stitches extra easily. (see photo above) You should have no problem getting 200-250 stitches on the needle. Just make sure you mark each section with a marker.
