How to join raglan seams

Hi Sara,


Sorry I misunderstood you. I thought you were making the one on the previous photo.

The raglan parts of the body start at the underarm areas where the decreasing begin. You stitch the body raglan parts with the sleeve parts. There should be four areas of raglan that need seaming. Please look at my rough illustration photo above. The areas where I circled them are where you sew them together.

There are different ways of joining them together. My favorite way to join raglan pieces is to do a mattress stitch seaming with 2 bar-pick up as shown in the first video ( the vertical one).

The sweater is going to be so cute! Thank for the question and sorry for the late reply. We were in the middle of Veterans Day weekend holiday.
