How do I increase a stitch?

My pattern states increase 1 stitch at each end of 3rd and every following 4th row. Please can someone explain ?

Hi,

How to increase 1 stitch at each end of 3rd and every following 4th row.

On the 3rd row, you increase 1 st at each end.
Then increase 1 st at each every following 4th row.

You increase rows will be on 3rd, 7th, 11th, 15th, 19th, and so forth....

You have to check for many times you have to do the increases.

See sample chart above. It show how to increase on each side of your pattern.
