How do I dec 1 at neck edge

Knitting baby cardigan with hood. First time knitting.
Do not understand where the neck edge is. I am knitting the left front.

“Work 2 rows dec 1 St at neck edge in both rows." Does that mean I knit 2 stitched together at both ends of the left hand side of the cardigan?

Thank you ever so much.

Juliette

Decrease 1 st at neck edge

Hi Juliette,

"Work 2 rows dec 1 St at neck edge in both rows" means to decrease 1 st at the neck edge for the next two rows.

If you're now on the right side, then your left front neck edge should be on your left side.

On the 1st dec row, you start working until you are at the last two stitches, then k2tog. On the next row, you do dec again by work 2 sts together (k2tog or p2tog according to your work pattern) and then work to the end of row.

Thanks for sharing your question.
