Finishing off a specific pattern - Jarol pattern JX265

I am sewing together the rompers from Jarol pattern JX265 New arrival. However there seems to be something missing. It explains how to sew the straps to the front, but not the back. The straps are not long enough to stretch from the front, over the shoulders and down to the waist at the back. But if that is how they are sewn together there aren't any fasteners to open so that it passes over the babies head!!

I would be most grateful if you can help

Hi Mal,

Sorry for the late reply. My web host was down for days.
I tried to find this romper pattern on the web but it's not free. I saw the picture of it.

It sounds like you have to make the straps a little longer. I would knit the straps as far as I could to reach the back of it. You can make it crisscross or straight and add a button hole at each end of the strap.
Then attach buttons to the back area.

I'm not sure if this is helpful. Maybe someone else would have some other thoughts.
