Finishing armhole

by Margaret Batko
(Alexandria Virginia usa)

Pattern calls for picking up stitches around arm hole, doing 1 row knit, 1 row purl, cast off knit. Then doing a crochet picot. I don’t want the picot on the armholes. Can I just do the two knit rows and cast off.

Hi Margaret,

Yes, you can omit the picot but you might want to do knit all rows instead so it won't curl. Maybe knit 3 rows then bind off loosely.

Thanks for asking.
