Counting Rows With Decrease

by Linda

Pattern says: (WS) Dec 1 st beg (neck edge) next row, then 1 st at neck edge of following 5th rows 8 times more.

I'm not sure how I count this: If i am on ws do I wait until rs to decrease? and then do I count this as row 1 then decrease again on row 5? then start counting again with row one and decrease on row 5?

How To Count Rows With Decrease - Help
by: Ratchadawan

Hi Linda,

The pattern is a little bit confusing, isn't it? I understand the same way as you do. The first decrease is on the right side. So, you will decrease the first st of the next row (right side}. Then start counting the row after dec as row 1. Then you will do dec again when you get to the 5th row. Reset a row counter to 1 each time after decreasing until you complete all 8 decreases.

Have a wonderful day!

Ratcha
